Part 8: People Follow Leaders Who See Them

July 06, 20261 min read

I want to close this series with the heart of human-centered leadership.

People follow leaders who see them.

Over the past few posts, Barry and I talked about technology, connection, trust, empathy, communication, and adaptability. Each one of these things has value in an AI-driven workplace.

People still need to feel valued, heard, and supported.

As AI becomes more present in our everyday lives, it is easy to focus on what technology can do. But don't forget that your people still have very human questions.
Do I matter here?
Is my work valued?
Will I be supported through this change?
Does my leader understand what this means for me?

That is why human-centered leadership matters. Don't just keep up with the technology. Earn trust.

The leaders who do will be the ones who help people move forward without feeling left behind.
